Friday night E picked me up from work and we visited The Coca Cola Space Science Center

We watched Secrets of the Sun in the omnisphere theater. It was fairly interesting.

Had a bit of time to explore around before watching the Pink Floyd laser show.

We spent the day on the lake with my co-workers.

I think it was what we all needed.

The past week has been wonderful. Time away from work was just what I needed. My lovely mother and I took off on an adventure to: Hilton Head, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; & Tybee Island, Georgia. We went up without any plans of what we were going to do or where we were going to stay. Hilton Head was my favorite of the three and I hope to return soon. I wish that I would have been able to take more pictures at Hilton Head, but it was overcast the two days and had on/off showers all day. I just did not want to chance taking out the camera on our adventures. I took a few pictures on my phone but have not uploaded them onto the computer yet. I did manange to get some lovely pictures of Savannah and Tybee.

We took a carriage tour of Savannah on sunday. I have to say it is fully worth the $20.00. We had the best tour guide ever. I learned a lot about the town that I would have never known. We visited a cemetary turned town park (below). I learned from the tour guide that most of historic Savannah is the rest of that same cemetary paved over. No wonder the city is ranked the most haunted in the states. We saw the sites of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (which I will admit I have never read, but now plan on it), learned that the famous bench scene from Forrest Gump was filmed there & also a film with Julia Roberts (forgive me, I forgot which one).

I do not look forward to pollen but I do look forward to days when I can be outside tending to flowers and reading books. I have a small list of books (that I am always looking to add to) that I wish to read over the summer. Oh, and important news: I may be going on a cruise! It is something that I have wanted to do for a while now and it just may be the time for me to do so.

I purchased a new swimsuit. I did not care for the bottom that "matched" it so I chose a solid black bottom that is very similar in style. I have a wedding to go to in a month. I think I want this dress to wear to the wedding. It does not cost very much and I think it would be a good dress for the summer.

I will try to blog more often.

Better late than never I would like to share what I want for the new year. It is truly a year I strive for change. I want to be selfish this year and do things for me.

I want to remove the negative from every aspect of my life.

I want to let go of what I need to let go of and embrace what needs embracing.

My life is taking hopefully wonderful turns. My mother fully supports my want to go back to school and I really hope that I can go back in the fall. I just need to get all of my ducks in a row. I hope to keep my job that I have now for a few semesters of night school but after that I am sure that I will have to find a part time job somewhere doing something I would rather not be doing but it is all for the final product. Gotta get my mind in the right frame- little engine style. I think I can, I think I can.

In car news... I am going to look tomorrow. I made a phone call to a friends and am going to see what my options are.

(the other was the monster at the end of this book) little know fact: In elementary school we had a book parade and our class chose where the wild things are. I got to be one of the monsters and it was one of my best moments!

I am buckling down.

I have decided I waste too much money. Today I cancelled my verizon navigator and ringback tones on my phone, that will save roughly $12.00 a month. Tomorrow I am going to look at phones and try to decide on one and rid myself of my blackberry. That will be another $40.00 saved each month. I also fully intend on going by the tanning bed and getting rid of another $46.00 bill. I truly do enjoy going a couple of times a week but paying that much at the nicer tanning bed is just not worth it. I am going to try and find another place that is less expensive. All in all getting rid of these wastefull bills that I do not need I figure I can save around $98.00 per month. I am going to plan out a weekly spending bill and fully abide by what I set my limit as. I am going to limit myself to eating out for lunch at work to once every two weeks and spend more lunch hours going to the park and reading while I eat my homemade lunch. I want to be more productive and spend more time reading and gardening rather than shopping. Shopping in my case can be addictive and I can spend alot of money easy without really even trying. I am going to focus on life. Bottom line is I need to save more and spend less.

I also want to get myself back in school. I never took it seriously before. I have something that I want to work forward to. I have the want to go back now and it is something that I did not have before. I would love to go back within the next year. Lets cross our fingers and see.
Time to go watch my baby play in the yard.

Good News!

I purchased a scrapbook with the hopes of filling it up over the next few months. Scrapbooking things are on sale at Hobby Lobby this week and I have an extra $150.00 thanks to a softball raffle. I have a new "crafting room" and it makes me want to do so many things. I am even doing a little sewing, yes..me..sewing. I used to make purses with my mom way back when but haven't touched the machine much since. My plans are just for a few simple things. I even fixed a scrub top that had a rip in the side (thanks to a door handle and my gracefullness).

Raspberry lemonade crystal light is maybe my new favorite thing ever.

All of our baby toads around the flower beds are growing up. I love this time of the year watching them day by day grow up. They become so used to us they don't even hop away. I am gonna miss these little buddies when it gets cooler.Even though I will miss my baby toads I am SO READY for fall.

It is time for me to go enjoy the day and work on an orange room a little.

Me and my bigman went skating yesterday. (which I am not so great at) We got there super early, I'm pretty sure it is the only thing this year that Christian wanted to be and was on time for. Miss money joined us a little while later and it was fun times.

Today I had this great plan that I would go thrifting in Columbus...but I went out in the hot hot heat and played in my yard pretty much all day instead.

It has been a while since I've updated. I have been busy with life and the internet has fallen to the end of my priority list. I answer emails and I am twitter crazy via the blackberry (that I can't wait to get rid of!) but getting on the laptop and browsing around the internet just does not interest me much at the time. I have been spending my afternoons reading, tending to my flowers, playing in the yard with my babies, having date nights, painting/sad attempts at crafts, and now I have a new rescued kitten to attend to. I have not even had him a full week and already he is a handful. I named him Owen. He's very frustrating at times with trying to teach him the concept of the litter box but he is just a baby (an estimated 5 weeks) and doesn't know any better so I am trying to keep all of this in mind and stay patient with him. He follows me around like a little shadow. He is whiny but very loving, I think in the end he will grow up and be a loving cat.

Yesterday was the best day I have had in a while. I did spring cleaning! I cleaned alllll day except my hour and a halfish I took to go eat. I went out and had steak and it was super tasty. Something about cleaning and listening to old mixed cds all day puts me in a wonderful mood. I'll be a good wifey one day.

Its been a lazy Sunday. It has been nice. I have to go to the grocery store and come home and take a bath. blah. Hopefully I will make a better effort to get on and update more often.

Good news: I made three amazing mixtapes. I love music and lazy afternoons, the two seem to go perfect together. Speaking of music.. a personal favorite of mine covered by Pink. Her voice fits the song well.

I've been feeling like a tad bit of a hermit crab...I suppose its just one of my moods. I really like "me time". I just haven't felt like going out and doing anything. I've been busy at the house playing video games and working around the house. I have been watching Planet Earth...its a good show. The weather has been nice outside (well except for the last couple of rainy days) so me and tucker have been taking every chance that we can to sit outside in the yard and read. We need a new book, gotta hit up the Barnes&Noble this week!

I thought looooong and hard about my hair..I wanted to wack it off above my shoulders and get thick bangs... and I've decided against it. I want to grow it out and I'm gonna stick to it for a while.I want to go get the ends trimmed but no more...for now.

I think that just may possibly have a thing for tattoos. This tattoo is poorly done (in my opinion) but I like the concept...I'd do away with the gameboy and just keep the cheat code. I guess you have to be a video game fan to understand. I have given thought lately on a tattoo..but it is something that is there forever...I'm not ready for that big decision yet.

I've decided it is time for a real blog. I have been gardening...cleaning out flower beds, laying out mulch, purchasing flowers/seeds, planting those flowers/seeds, the whole shebang. My mom has always had a green thumb but it is something that I lack. (or atleast I lack the motivation to upkeep what I have started) So I've taken on this new project with my mom with the hopes of keeping the motivation to keep it up all summer. My great plans include water with goldfish! More details to come at a later date! (and possibly a picture or two)

I am thinking very seriously of a new hairstyle...dun dun dun.

I have a half day tomorrow and I could not be more happy. It has been a long week and it is only Tuesday. The work itself hasn't been hard but I just feel like there is so much that I need to catch up on! I hate going into work one morning only to finish the things that I didn't have time to get to the day before...yet that is the cycle of never-ending paperwork that I do live in. Oh well...

I think that it is time to get off of the internet and play DDR.

So...my car died yesterday.The nissan is 500 dollars to fix, that includes the towing fee, parts and labor. Not really that bad when you think about it but I thought maybe this was just a sign that it was time to get a new car. I went car shoppig yesterday and did find a car that I reaaallllly did like... then I called my insurance company for a quote... two wrecks and a few tickets a couple of years ago put me on high risk insurance and the insurance was just too much. It was more than the car payment would have been. So 500 dollars to fix the nissan it is. The good news is that my insurance renews in September and she said that providing that I do not have any more accidents I will be taken off of the high risk. So my grand plan is to save save save up money and have a nice down payment for when I get taken off of high risk....unless I talk myself out of a new car by then....we shall see.

The past few days I have been sick. I am pretty sure that going to bed with my hair soaking wet on thursday night is what did me in. I really did mean to blow dry it a little before bed but at the time I thought that talking on the phone was more important. Friday night my voice was gone and I felt like death. Many doses of medicine and naps later and I feel better. My voice still sounds rough and my nose is still runny but I am over the deep, painful coughing. I seriously sounded like I had infazema.

I went to the hockey game last night. I hadn't been to one in a while. It was fun even if we lost. I had dippin dots and cotton candy. Fat kid! The tickets were free and right on the ice so that is always nice. I'm going to try and hit up a couple more games before the end of the season.

I have been thinking about a swap I joined..I've already gotten my package and it was okay...I have a few things that I have in mind but I am having trouble with ideas of what to send. Hopefully over the next week I will come up with some good ideas.

I made some more picture frames. I was feeling semi-productive yesterday even though I wasn't feeling all that great. I cleaned up my room a little bit but I did not get around to washing any clothes, I plan on starting that as soon as I get off of the computer. I think that it is time to turn on some music and try to be productive. later loves.

My hair if finally getting longish. It takes a little extra time in the morning to fix but I think it it worth it (for now anway) I'll be so happy once it gets about four or five inches longer... hopefully by the summer?

I found some 1,000 count sheets marked down at target! I am very excited about this. I have a bit of a thing for sheets lately...I'm not sure why but it is what I seem to be drawn to lately. I have also found a love in diet canda dry ginger ale. I'm not so much one for diet drinks but the diet ginger ale is where its at.

Hello my loves.

So much to discuss, where to begin? The weather has taken a turn for the terribly cold. It is supposed to get down to 13 degrees tonight. Getting up out of my cozy bed will be extra hard in the morning. I get a cookie cake at work though...yummy!
My brother is taking the pirate kitty with him when he goes..this makes me sad...sorta. He was my little buddy. I am thinking about getting a little girl cat and naming her Lola. I don't know if another animal is something that I really want to take on right now though.
I miss reading. Not that long ago I would hide away for hours at a time reading. I miss working across from starbucks...I don't miss the job but I miss being able to bring a book and sit there for an hour and just get away. That isn't really an option because I usually have lunch company. I enjoy my company at lunch but sometimes I just wish I was at the starbucks reading away. I think I will make it a point to purchase a book by months end and hide myself in my room or somewhere else cozy and read...time to get back to the basics...
Today I was asked how in the world I live without a televison in my room. It all began with the conversation about "the big switch to digital". Someone asked me if I was ready and I said we had cable in the living room and a fairly new tv but I was in my room most of the time and I don't a tv in there so I'm good. It really seemed to be mindblowing to them that I didn't care about having a tv...once you go without it for a little while its nothing. If I wanted to watch anything I can find it on the internet but most of my time on the internet is spent browsing about through peoples lives with blogs, myspace, email, etc. It is mindblowing to me that it is so very mindblowing to them.

so confused its like im lost...

My birthday is creeping closer and closer. Do you know what that means? New season of Flight of the Conchords! It starts the day after my birthday. We don't have HBO at my house (and its not like i have a tv in my room anyways) so I will have to wait and extra day or two and watch it on the internet anyways but I am still excited about it. wooot. I'm a dork, deal with it.

In other birthday news... my brothers birthday is tomorrow. He'll be 26. He's moving out when he gets another manager at his store and he can take vacation. My mom is getting him a George Foreman. I don't even know if I am getting him a card :/ I think that settling on a verbal happy birthday will do.

I've been in a cerel mood lately. I'm eating lucky charms at this very moment. I have found maybe the best cerel ever. It is a pumpkin raisin crunch that is simply amazing. I tried it on a whim the otherday because it was in our pantry and I was hungry. It instantly won me over. I bought another box of it at Kroger yesterday. soooo tasty :)

The changing weather and my adventures out into the weather over the past week has proven to be no good. Yesterday I felt like death, I feel somewhat better today although I sound worse. I've spent the last couple days sleeping and browsing just about every corner of the net. I have been off work since noon wednesday so it sure is going to be hard to return this week. After two weeks of mini vacations it will be back to the norm and yada yada yada. I think it is time for more medicine and another nap. take care my loves.

My birthday is soon(ish). I'm almost a quater century old. I think that is rather impressive. It doesn't seem that old but when you think about its like you are 25% done and that is only IF you live to be 100. I can't complain really when I think about my life. I could dwell on all of the bad things I suppose but I know it can always be worse.

Now, something that has been bothering me....I know that I am not the best speller ever, I even make up words at time but I cannot stand when people spell "are" when they really mean "our" bugs me until no end! I think this is my biggest pet peeve.

If you haven't yet you should look into Joshua James. Ever since I heard FMRadio way back when I have been in love with him. His version of Amazing Grace is awesome. I have heard many, many versions of the song but this is one of my favorites.

I want a new phone. I used to really like my phone but now I pretty much loathe it. I can't wait until I get a new one. I am thinking of making an ebay purchase but I don't know.

I am going to try and put money in my savings every paycheck, the past two months I have been slacking with that. You never really know when you are going to need money.It is my goal for the new year I suppose.

Speaking of, soon it will be a brand new year. I have to say that this has been one of the most life changing years for me thus far. 2008 has brought me more into "the real world". I'm now on my second "real job" I never thought I'd be the girl with the 9-5 who lives for the weekend but it is what I have become and I can't see myself any other way really. Things have happened and I have learned who my friends are. I've become closer with my family and enjoy time with certain ones. I'm excited for concerts and adventures in 2009. I want to go camping, I've picked out a spot now all I have to do is make the plans.

We drove all the way past macon rd in columbus...for lights...my advice to you would be don't go. We got good food and some youtube time out of the evening (preview above via crappy webcam) so it worked out in the end. Oh yes, and I got to play with little mimsy, she's so hyper and so cute >.< I loves the bigmans and the mims!

My room is messy, I have a pile of clothes that are screaming "wash me!" I think that will be on my agenda today. I also want to work on some projects. I have to run to town really quick aswell.
